Progress, when you look back over the last 50 years, has probably done more to us than it has for us. The most damaging progress of all has been wrought by electronic technology which is clearly dedicated to the enfeebling of the human intellect. Idiotic video games that corrupt young minds, the hypnotic attraction to the Internet, to computers, to digital this and that, to RAMs and ROMs and dot coms, all meant to make zombies of weak minds.Mind-numbing television has us continually consumed and intellectually impoverished. The electronic picture tube has become the light of our lives, entertaining us, nurturing our fantasies, raising our children, and filling every empty moment of our soon-to-be-empty lives."
