One of your clients is aluminum producer, Alcoa. The credit manager for Alcoa is new to her role. Your manager assigns you to work with her to analyze the data of one of her company's customers, Performance Sports Group (PSG). PSG is the leading developer and manufacturer of sports equipment and apparel. It is the global leader in hockey. It holds the number one position for baseball and softball in North America. Their products are marketed under seven brand names and distributed by sales reps and independent distributors throughout the world. PSG wants to build its leadership by growing market share and strategic acquisitions. PSG has requested 90-day terms on their purchases. Your job is to help the new credit manager at Alcoa determine whether the extended terms should be granted to PSG. In order to determine whether 90-day payment terms should be granted, you will conduct some initial analysis by examining PSG's recent income statement and recent balance sheet.
