If I was to pick out the similarities between my intern, the video, and the text I would have to point out not only the advocacy put the pinpoint on making the community healthier. One of the strategies my internship focuses on is nutrition. The text talks about obesity and the increase within diabetes. My site connects with many community programs to increase the use of fruits and veggies. With the text mentioning how obesity " If the trend of the past 20 years continues, over 100 million people will fall into the category of obese in another 10 years and the health care cost related to obesity will run into the hundreds of billions" From health to medical all of this in lines together. It will suck to see many falls into obesity or any health issues due to food on the rise, medical expenses are not affordable, and many communities are not educated or supported due to less funding, or no knowledge on what to do or where to go. As I go forward, I plan to learn as much as I can and share the knowledge with my community to improve their health, wealth, and daily living.
