Question

One concern for cultural relativism is that it seems to deny that cultural progress is a thing. First, is cultural progress genuine, or is it merely in the eye of the beholder? For instance, if we asked those who lived in the past, would they also think we've made progress in the modern day, or would they see it as decline instead? Second, is there an end point to the progress where we can't progress any further? If not, does this suggest relativism is in fact true since morality would be forever changing?
