TASK 1 OBSERVATIONS
Based on the site visits each student must identify 20 unsafe acts or conditions along with their consequences and control measures. Each identified unsafe acts or condition must fall within any five known hazards
SITE VISIT
a. The site visit will be arranged by the module tutor on a convenient week day.
b. It is the responsibility of the student to attend the visit with the class.
c. You can submit the assignment only if you visit the site with the class.
d. You can gather the required information by observing the worksite, talking to managers, supervisors and workers without creating any nuisance.
TASK 2
Each student must submit a management report of 1500 words based on a site visit to al Mawaleh central vegetables & fruits market by the module tutor. The report is about your observation on hazards of the working environment of that site and should include aspects such as work at height, manual handling, electricity, excavations, noise, dust, lighting, PPE, welfare facilities and any other factor that has an adverse effect of the health, safety and environment.
You should discuss the prevailing conditions and compare them with relevant Omani HSE regulations.
