Amiya is an Indian born actress who has been offered a part to perform in an Australian film. In October 2022, Amiya travels to Australia, leaving her partner and children in India as it is anticipated that the film will take no longer than 3 months to produce. Amiya is given several hotels to stay in during this time. After 3 months of filming however, unexpected damage occurs to some of the production sets and Amiya is asked to extend her stay in Australia for an additional 6 months. Amiya decides to lease an apartment and asks her partner to send more of her personal belongings. She also begins to enjoy the lifestyle, meets many friends and looks to enrol her children in a school. At the end of filming, Amiya's partner and children move to Australia to live with her.
