A 35-year-old Latino male presents to the emergency room of a rural hospital holding his stomach, doubled over, and in obvious pain and distress. He does not speak English. His supervisor is with him and speaks Spanish. The patient is a migrant worker recently hired to work at a regional producer of various vegetables. The supervisor states that the patient started fell ill the evening prior after working many hours outdoors in the heat. He has no other family with him.
