A ball of mass m is dropped vertically onto a spring, a with spring constant k from a height of h above the top of the spring. The ball hits the spring, compresses it, and is shot, back into the air to repeat the motion. Due to friction, the ball only repeats this motion ten times before coming to rest on top of the spring. Obtain the total work done by friction during the process.
