Observing the religious rituals and worship services of people of other faiths than Christianity is an extremely important way to understand the beliefs and practices of others. By means of your observation of a worship service of a major world religion, you will gain a greater understanding and a new appreciation of the teachings, doctrines, and religious practices of the people who are adherents of the major world religions, which in turn will aid you in reaching them with the Gospel.

INSTRUCTIONS

To ensure success, select a major world religion, visit a worship service of the selected religion, and present a paper about your experience. Based on your research of the religion and your observations of the worship service, you will also describe the service, the religion and its teachings, contrasting and comparing it with Christianity, and providing how you would share Christ with a follower of the religion you selected for this assignment. (Other religions besides the major world religions may be selected for this assignment with the Instructor's permission). Include 5 scholarly citations with page numbers within the presentation which should also appear in the Turabian bibliography below the presentation.
