Nutrients are taken in orally. Nutrients are used by the body for repair, growth, and energy. Lipids, minerals, carbohydrates, vitamins, proteins, and water are the six major classes of nutrients. Macronutrients consist of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and water. Macronutrients must be ingested in large quantities to be affective. Vitamins and minerals are micronutrients. Micronutrients affect the body through small doses.

Nutrients are any substance taken orally that could be used by the body. There are many different forms of nutrients. All the food and liquid a person could take in are usually nutrients. When a person eats vitamins, these are micronutrients. Macronutrients are the every day food that you eat. Nutrients consist of macronutrients, micronutrients, and essential nutrients.

When a person eats three meals a day, those three meals are considered macronutrients. When a person takes in vitamins, they are micronutrients. I would only assume that when I take my daily medication it could be considered a micronutrient.
