Question

As a nursing student and future registered nurse, we are the first line of care for our patients and our role is to be their advocates. We need to take the time to listen to them and understand their needs. When communicating with providers and the rest of the care team, we should be asking the important questions or researching things we may not understand. By enhancing our knowledge, we can further improve our clinical decision making to provide better outcomes for our current clients and future clients.
