Nurses can lead innovation and change in healthcare, but they need strong nurse leaders in the C-suite to improve care delivery, organizational culture, and quality (Thew, 2018). For example, a nursing leader Doctor Katie Boston-Leary was instrumental in bringing about change in the healthcare organization by putting the C-suite concept into practice, which involved high-ranking officials such as the chief executive officer, chief operating officer, chief financial officer, and chief nursing officer (Thew, 2018).
