Question

After looking up the Nurse Practice Act for the state of Arizona, the first thing that pops up is the definition of a registered nurse. A registered nurse (RN) is one who practices and holds a license for registered nursing and follows a multiple-state compact privilege. An RN's scope of practice involves performing activities that one has been prepared from basic RN education and additional skills learned through their practice at labs, clinics, etc ("Arizona State Board of Nursing, 2020). All nurses showed know the fundamentals of nursing which involve knowing the legal boundaries that they can take when receiving patient's health information (HIPPA), and respecting the patient's beliefs and rights while giving them holistic client care. This also includes the assessment tests that we need to take from the very first second the patient is admitted to us and see if we notice any physical, mental, and/or sociological abnormalities. Then based off of our assessment we have to be able to come up with a treatment plan that will educate the patient if they have any current diseases or illness, or education on illness prevention so they do not acquire them.
