There are numerous types of local government ranging from a small rural Borough to a first-class city. These forms of government are not only the backbone of bureaucracy in our country, but they also serve as the first and foremost government body that hears the initial concerns facing our communities. The state of Pennsylvania classifies all municipalities by population size. The largest population densities being cities and the smallest being a borough. Even these designations can be broken down further. There are three classes of cities, two classes of townships, counties, and finally boroughs. (Thompson) I am employed to manage the smallest form of government in Pennsylvania, a borough.Do you think that there should be more of a focus on these by the states?
