Question

I learned a lot about The Age of Jackson. As opposed to previous topics covered in this class, I was not very familiar with this one. The Age of Jackson took place around 1820 to 1845. I learned about the key events that took place during his presidency including the Nullification Crisis and The Bank War. The Bank War was an event that stood out to me because it was a major event in US financial history. It led to the shutdown of the Second Bank, which was created to was to secure the growing economy, and replaced by state banks. This caused further economic inequality between the North and South. The Bank War didn't directly lead to the Civil War, but it was a factor that caused tension between the North and South due to the inequality.
