Question

Six months have now passed since Tim was seen in our office for a nonunion fracture. He has returned for aftercare follow-up from his now-healed displaced fracture of the right clavicle which upon presentation last time had become a nonunion displaced fracture of his right clavicle. He states his right upper arm and right shoulder both feel great. He is able to sleep thru the night, he has been participating in physical therapy which he says has helped immeasurably. Tim demonstrates his full range of motion on both the left and right shoulders. Patient states he currently has no concerns in regard to his previous fracture or his previous lack of range of motion. His blood pressure is elevated at this time and patient states he has been having frequent headaches as well as an irregular heartbeat and buzzing in his ears. Tim states he feels that he may need a change in his hypertension prescription as he feels it may no longer be working properly. After a long discussion with the patient and reviewing his blood work I am in agreement with a change in his blood pressure medication. I will contact the pharmacy and he can pick up.
