Question

A 66 year old women had a non-ST elevation myocardial infarction treated with a drug-eluting stent to the left anterior descending with predischarge ejection fraction of 66%. She was discharged from the hospital 6 wks ago and has been pain free. Her discharge medications included a beta-blocker, statin, and dual antiplatelet therapy. She came in on metformin for type 2 diabetes, which was continued. Her BP is controlled at 128/70 and she has normal renal function. Her low-density lipoprotein.
