A piston-cylinder device initially contains 0.007m^3 of nitrogen gas at 130kPa and 120C. The nitrogen gas is now expanded polytropically to a state of 100 kPa and 100C. Determine the boundary work done during this process. I know I need to use the formula P1V1^n=P2V2^n. I found the mass - 0.07802kg and V2 at 0.08637m^3 using the gas constant R=0.2968kJ/Kg*K. How do I find n? nis suppose to equal 1.249. My question is how you find that value.
