Make a dialogue between an individual who, like Plato, believes that knowledge is fixed and one who, like Nietzsche and Foucault, believes that knowledge changes over time. First, take the role of the Platonist who believes that knowledge consists of knowing universal and unchanging ideas (or forms). How would the Platonist respond to the Nietzschean/Foucauldian argument that knowledge is produced by culture and changes with culture? Next, take the role of the Nietzschean/Foucauldian who believes that there is no permanent and objective knowledge. How would the Nietzschean/Foucauldian respond to the Platonist?

After the initial statements, make sure your dialogue gives each person the chance to challenge the other's argument, not just their conclusion. With which premises of the Nietzschean/Foucauldian would the Platonist agree or disagree, and vice versa? What examples could the Platonist use to prove their views, or the Nietzschean/Foucauldian theirs?

Use the terms "Platonist" and "Nietzschean/Foucauldian" at the beginning of each new statement to indicate who is speaking. Each character should give an opening summary of their views, provide at least one criticism of the other person's argument, and respond to at least one of the other character's criticisms. Ensure that each character speaks at least 3 times (i.e., don't submit two separate speeches).
