Ned is in his final year of high school. He is 17 years old. Ned approaches his younger brother Lee to see if he will do his share ofthe housework at the family home for $20.00 a week. Ned works part-time at the local news agency and can afford to pay Lee this amount each week. This arrangement works well for four (4) months until Ned is unexpectedly dismissed from his job at the news agency due to a downturn in magazine sales. Lee is not aware that Ned has been dismissed and continues to do Ned's share of the housework for another three (3) weeks. Ned does not pay Lee for two (2) consecutive weeks. Lee starts to become annoyed at not being paid on time and demands Ned pay him the money he is owed. Ned refuses to pay Lee because he says he has no money. Lee wants to be paid for the housework hehas done for Ned. Advise Lee in contract law.
