BP a 25-year-old female presents to the clinic seeking birth control. She states that she is in a new monogamous relationship and would like to prevent pregnancy. Her new boyfriend is averse to condoms because they don't "feel right". Prior to this she has been using condoms with a few casual partners. She notes that she tried "the pill" when she was 16 but could not remember to take it. At 18 she had 1 Depo Provera injection, but she gained 20 lbs and does not want to use that ever again. PMH: healthy, recurrent migraines with an aura, hx of childhood asthma, no longer needs inhalers. Surgical Hx: none Reproductive Hx: Menarche at age 11, Never been pregnant, had Chlamydia once at age 17, sexually active with male partners, participates in oral and vaginal penetration. Allergies: NKDA Current medications: Imitrex PRN for migraine
