The nervous systems can be considered as communication networks whose integrated operation is responsible for a behaviouralresponse.' Imangine the following three structures of a neuron, (athe dendrites, (b) the axon and the (c) the synapse,and pleaseexplain (i) how it contributes to these communication networks and(ii) how activity in the structure can vary, as to contributing tothe production of a particular behavioural response.
