1. If a galvanic cell is created using the Cu2+/Cu and Zn2+/Zn half reactions, and the initial concentration of copper(II) is 0.100 M and the initial concentration of zinc(II) is 1.90 M, what is the potential of this voltaic cell with these starting concentrations of metal cations? Hint: Calculate the standard cell potential for this cell first, then use the Nernst equation to determine the cell potential.
