N. gonorrhea screening is positive in a male patient. He is negative for chlamydia or trichomoniasis. His weight is 100 kg. This patient should be treated with: ceftriaxone (Rocephin) 500 mg IM x 1 dose. ceftriaxone (Rocephin) 250 mg IM and azithromycin (Zithromax) 1,000 mg (single-dose therapy). ceftriaxone (Rocephin) 500 mg IM x 1 dose and doxycycline (Doryx) 100 mg po BID x 10 days. ceftriaxone 250 mg IM, azithromycin 1,000 mg, and metronidazole 2 g (single-dose therapy).tive in a male patient.
