Question: For this project, you will need to draft a memo using the Code of Civil Procedure 473b using the fact pattern below regarding the Marriage of Goodman. We represent Mr. Goodman who was served with a divorce action. However, Mr. Goodman did not file a response to the divorce due to a serious life-threatening health issue. You need to analyze whether our client has the basis to vacate the judgment for divorce and to set aside the default that resulted in Mr. Goodman not timely filing his response. If the court finds there is a basis under 473b to vacate the judgment and to set aside the default, Mr. Goodman will legally be allowed file his response so the case can be further litigated with his involvement to determine child custody, visitation, support, and property/debt issues. The memo sets forth all the facts of the case. I have also included CCP 473(b) and definitions regarding mistake, inadvertence, surprise, and excusable neglect
