I believe that all information provided should be accurate, truthful, and honest. There should be no omitting of findings regardless if information is deemed positive or negative. The ethical decision-making model I will use is the NASW Code of Ethics as social workers have client record responsibilities. The code states, "Social workers should take reasonable steps to ensure that documentation in electronic and paper records is accurate and reflects the services provided" (NASW, 2021). Furthermore, social workers have responsibilities as professionals that include refraining from dishonesty, fraud, and deception. Lastly, responsibilities to the social work profession as they should avoid providing evaluations with fabricated or falsified results. The values, principles, and standards that relate to this scenario would be service, competence, and integrity which would be compromised (NASW, 2021).
