Each TV is independently defective of all other TVs manufactured by Dizio. A wholesale store has ordered a shipment of 2000 TVs from Dizio. If there are more than 60 defective TVs in that shipment, the store will return the entire order. Based on the information, please answer following questions:
a) Name and specify the distribution of defective products in the stores order.
b) What is the probability that the order will get returned? Write out the probability statement and summarize the formula you would use (but DO NOT SOLVE).
c) Is there an approximation method to calculate the probability that the order is returned? State your reasoning to support this. Use that approximation method to find the probability that the order is returned.
d) Using an appropriate approximation method find the probability that between 40 and 50 TVs (inclusive) in the shipment are returned.
