5. The article I read has a lot of information on the culture of Portuguese people, ranging from greetings, gift giving, traditions, society, religious views, and sports.
6. The article, Portugal Society & Culture, states "Sports are an important part of Portuguese culture. As far as professional and amateur sports, nothing in the country compares to soccer, more popularly known as football (the Portuguese spelling is futebol)." (14)
7. Three topics to research and write about in my essay would be places to visit and sight-see: Lisbon, the city of Porto, and the islands of Madeira.
