However, this project will not include an actual written paper. Students will gain valuable experience by locating and evaluating information relevant to their chosen topic.
Instructions:
Even though you may have a dream job sometimes things don't always go as planned. That is why this Plan B project will help you explore other options for your future.
Students will choose a plan B career using the Occupational Outlook Handbook (www.b1s.gov/g24). Once you have chosen a career, you can begin your research to better understand the career. First, devise several search terms and/or phrases relevant to your chosen career and use these search terms to locate books, scholarly journal articles, reference materials and Internet resources. Utilize Topcat, Online Databases, Reference Materials and the Internet to locate sources. Review the Library Skills Blackboard site or Purdue Owl (owl.english.purdue.edu) to learn about different citation styles and choose one citation format (MLA, APA, Chicago Manual Style, etc.) for the annotated resource list portion of the assignment. The Library Skills Blackboard site will also include a section that describes the
requirements of an annotated resource list.
