It is easy for management or anyone to say they want quality and/or we all need to continuously improve but many times they are only words. Giving the employees the tools to do this is essential for success. There are many great tools in both Six Sigma and TQM to help improve quality. One of my favorites is the "Fish-bone" diagram. I have used this many times in my career to help problem solve. This is a great tool for brain storming and getting ideas from everyone. I also feel this is a tool that doesn't make anyone feel intimidated to throw out their opinion.
