The City of London took the agreement to the City Council for approval and it was rejected. The negotiated amount was 10% too high and therefore a new agreement must be found. The two sides immediately started blaming each and therefore a Mediator was brought in to try to resolve the conflict. The role of you and your Mediator partner(s) is to bring resolution to the situation. The pressure has now increased as the project start time is getting closer and there still isn't an agreement in place for an important piece of real estate in the East London Link transportation project. What is your preparation for the mediation? How do you expect it will go between the two sides? What are the key issues, alternatives, and recommendations?
