Question

Alexis Burton a 20-year-old female came into urgent care this morning complaining of vaginal itching, cramping, burning upon urination, and white clumpy vaginal discharge. The patient first noticed these symptoms two days ago and then itching progressively gotten worse. She has a birth control implant in her left arm and a regular menstrual cycle. Her last menstrual period was at the beginning of last week. She is alert and orientated; aware of time, date, and location. She is 5 foot 4 inches and weighs 132 lbs. Also, displaying a well-groomed and clean appearance. The patient has no physical deformities or restrictions in upper body movement but walks slowly with a wider base due to the uncomfortable and irritable situation. She seems anxious and embarrassed explaining this is the first time she had vaginal issues. In addition, speaks in a softer tone and doesn't maintain eye contact continuously looking around the room during triage. Her legs are tightly crossed unable to sit comfortably on the examination table. She continues to be fidgety and constantly adjusts her position.
