Problem: A laoded shopping cart (24 kg) rolls across a parking lot and hits and hits an empaty cart (12 kg) which was at rest. The empaty carts takes off at 1.0 m/s after the collision. What is the final speed of the loaded shopping carts, and in which direction does it end up going?

A) Define appropriate symbols and write down the momentum conservation equation for this collision (no numbers !).

B) Use you equation to solve for a formula for the final velocity of the loaded cart (no numbers!)

C) Now plug in the numbers to solve for the speed and direction of the loaded cart.
