ABSTRACT: A orbital is able to make a quadruple bond, which has four electrons for each M-M center. Quadruple bonds are strong and short, and eventually decompose. In this experiment, molybdenum compounds with quadruple bonds are synthesized. Because of poor yields, the compounds were not able to be characterize to the full extend.
