Assignment -

In this assignment must use VISED Program (mcnp visual editor).

To run VISED, I would follow the following steps:

1) create a folder you like, for example GREAT_SCOTT (like in the Back of the Future movie).

2) copy paste the files vised .exe and X11.dll in that folder.

3) open a command window.

4) change directory to the GREAT_SCOTT folder.

5) run vised.exe in the command window.

So I would propose group 1 and 2 work independently on the model of Initial LEU Core (M-1-3) shown in slide 20 of the demo0 presentation.

Describe the core, but also the environment where the core is located, as shown in slide 10 and 15 (you can simplify the Graphite thermal column and the fast neutron irradiator a simple boxes).

The minimal requirement is to be able to show the 9X7 mesh with the 4 big control rods and different universes in each one of the volumes of the mesh. (there should be at least 6 (or 7) different universes inside the mesh, and one universe for the big control rods.

A plus would be to move up and down the control rods independently.

A plus would be to include the graphite thermal column and the fast neutron irradiator.

A plus would be to include the three cylindrical lateral beams.
