A helper is speaking with a recently engaged helpee. The helpee (she) has expressed that she is having some mixed feelings about the recent commitment. She is feeling anxious about what it means to be married and committed to someone for life. The helper asks the following: When did you get engaged and how did he propose? Do you think the way he proposed could have something to do with how you are feeling? Why would you even consider saying yes if you were unsure? Did you feel pressured to say yes and take the next step? Have you talked to your friends and family about this and taken the time you need to process what your future together will look like?
