As the National Representative of the International Union, you are the lead spokesperson for the neaouations. The Internatona Union. Unbeknownst to is membership. Is in a state or financial crisis. You have been instructed that the Union Strike Fund is at an all time low. Therefore. it is our objective to make sure that a stnke does not happen, as the union cannol afford to pay strike pay to the membership. Your instructions are, however, not to disclose this to the President of the Local, nor to any other people on the bargaining committee, as it is feared that the Dargainina unit mav choose to go and become part or the Steelworkers union UJw), as the USW has been attempting to raid this bargaining unit for a number or years You have had a good relationship with the President of the Local and have been fishing buddies a number of vears However. Vou have a severe distrust of the credibiltv and the trustworthiness or the lead nedouator tor manadement. the new Vice-President of Human Resources. You have found that s/he has gone back on his/her word and misrepresented circumstances to you on numerous occasions at his/her previous job. You will readily share your dislike and mistrust of the management negotiator with the other members of your bargaining committee
