Learning Outcome 2: Produce the appropriate documentation aligned to the project delivery methodology to evidence project progress with project stakeholders.

Learning Outcome 3: Integrate professional skills to complete individual and team tasks in collaboration with team members to develop a robust solution that meets stakeholder needs.

Learning Outcome 4: Demonstrate ability to effectively select frameworks, tools and techniques within the context of a business case study to gain insights into a specific problem and develop and deliver a solution prototype.

Task Summary

A demo, a showcase, or a review - this is the all-important unveiling of your Solution Prototype to your client as part of this authentic assessment process. this assessment requires you to showcase the final solution prototype for your client in response to their requirements. This is an ideal opportunity for you to demonstrate professional practice through engagement with a partner organisation while drawing on the knowledge and skills that you have developed on your multi-faceted learning journey in the MBIS.

Context

Demo's', Showcases or Reviews are a common part of solution development, where the team responsible for the solution walk stakeholders through their solution. In this instance, a solution prototype has been selected to ensure that you can demonstrate that you have taken due consideration of your case organisation/client's needs. In a professional context you will be required to engage with a broad diversity of stakeholders, and this part of the assessment cycle will allow you to develop and practice real-world skills in this area.

Task Instructions

1. Prepare a presentation with 8 slides as a preamble to the demonstration of your solution prototype.

2. The slides will need to cover the following information:
Slide 1: A title page slide with a title reflecting your client and nature of your solution, the subject code, subject name, all students' names, and student numbers for the group.
Additionally, please include the name of your learning facilitator.
Slide 2: The project management philosophy, methodology and life cycle that you have elected to follow and why it was selected for this project.
Slide 3: How the selection of project has influenced the structure of your software development cycle as a process.
Slide 4: Requirements elicitation activities and methods undertaken to develop an understanding of the problem for which your client requires a solution.
Slide 5: A clear problem statement which defines and addresses the area for which your client requires a solution.
Slides 6: Three (3) potential solutions considered, and the solution selected and why.
Slides 7: A description of the selected solution and why it was selected.

3. The above slides must be brief and to the point to allow you sufficient time to complete your demonstration of your prototype where you will be required to show the following:
• how the solution prototype addresses the requirements as identified by your client.
• How the solution addresses the problem statement.

4. Time is of the essence and you will have to ensure that you prioritise and structure the communication of your information to maximise your impact, while addressing the key elements that are required with adequate economy and clarity. Presentation of information must be equally distributed among the team members.

5. Peer evaluation
Group participation will constitute the final 30% of the mark for Assessment 3: In-Class Presentation for the team.
Participation will be determined as follows:
• Each student in the team will evaluate the other members' contributions using a participation score matrix (see Group Participation Score Matrix attached)
• Individually, each team member will assign a "Group participation score" (from 1-5) for each member of the group using the score matrix.
• Each student is to assess peers' contributions according to the Peer Evaluation Grading Scheme.
• The participation score matrix submitted by each individual student via the Assessment 3 link at the same time as the final group digital presentation submission.
• The Facilitator will use the average "group participation score" for each member to determine the weighted ‘Teamwork' criterion row in the final marking rubric for this assessment.
• All peer evaluation submissions are confidential not viewed by the other team members.

Referencing
It is essential that you use appropriate APA style for citing and referencing research.
