Still remember like It was yesterday. I was 26 years old. I woke up tired of working for a minimum wage as an automotive mechanic with very low chances of an increase. I was ready for a change for me and my family. That morning I went to the post office and saw a Flyer from a recruiter station and without hesitating I drove myself to the office. When I entered the office the first thing I said to the recruiter was that I wanted to join the Army and I wanted to work as a Humvee mechanic. That was my job at the moment I that's what I wanted to do. He told me to wait and take the test before I take any decision. A few weeks passed and I took the test. I did well and aviation jobs opened up for me. I decided to be a Blackhawk Mechanic. This was one of the best decisions I have taken in my life. It opened so a lot of doors in my professional life. Sixteen years had passed and I am still in aviation working with fixed wings and rotary wings. I am also pursuing a BS in aviation as well. In life, we have to go to adversities to make decisions that change ourlives forever.
