Hoover, the wealthy heir to a candy fortune who spent his days managing his extensive stock and bond portfolio, married Wendy on December 31, 2014 and live in California. Wendy was a physician and worked in small private practice as an obstetrician, drawing a salary of $200,000 per year.

At a party on December 31, 2015, when they were celebrating their first anniversary, Wendy spotted Hoover in a passionate embrace with Mindy, his former girlfriend. Though she told no one, Wendy decided that night that she would leave Hoover, and would never spend another New Year's with him.

In fact, Wendy had misinterpreted what she saw. Mindy had just learned she had inoperable cancer, and was whispering the details to Hoover, who she asked to be the trustee of her estate (since he knew much of her family and Mindy knew Hoover to be financially savvy.) Mindy also stopped by Hoover's home in early January, and delivered all the estate documents to Hoover. Unbeknownst to Hoover, in those documents were a deed to Mindy's Beverly Hills mansion, which she left "To Hoover and his wife, as my gift of gratitude for Hoover's managing of my estate."

Wendy filed for divorce on December 31, 2016.

What is Wendy's respective rights to Mindy's house?
