Question

A 42-year-old male with a history of alcohol use disorder presented to your clinic with with mid-epigastric pain and tenderness. Labs and Ultrasound noted the following, elevated lipase level, slightly elevated white count at 13 and a normal gallbladder and biliary tree ultrasound examination, procalcitonin normal. If he was not nauseous and able to take in oral hydration, what would be the most appropriate treatment moving forward (assuming you have any treatments and testing available to you that you would need)
