Virtual Site visit of a wastewater treatment plant and preparation of report

Aim - To provide fundamental and practical knowledge pertaining to design and operations of the wastewater treatment processes.

Learning Outcome 1: To demonstrate the principles of wastewater treatment

Learning Outcome 2: To describe the essentials of wastewater treatment system design and operation.

Learning Outcome 3: To apply their theoretical knowledge to and conduct analysis on a broad variety of wastewater management problems.

Task

Site Visit and Report

Virtual site visit will be provided to a wastewater treatment plant to observe the treatment process and plant operation followed by an assessment based on the virtual visit report submission. Videos and documents containing necessary information will be uploaded on the blackboard to provide students site visit experience virtually, due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Requirement for the Report

Write detailed report on the virtual site visit for wastewater treatment plant. i.e., component and observations on the video and literature about a typical wastewater treatment plant. Apart from this student's active participation during the class will also be considered during and marking, and five marks have been allocated for that. Total marks will be out of 100 for the report.
