Assignment - Video Presentation
Learning Outcome 1: Develop and articulate a theoretical or practical perspective on management issues through a substantial applied project.
Learning Outcome 2: Use specialist research skills to analyse a complex management problem and then synthesise the research, communicating it effectively to both specialist and lay audiences.
Learning Outcome 3: Synthesise concepts from a broad range of previous subjects studied (e.g. finance, marketing, operations), simplifying into an holistic big picture.
Context:
A project presentation provides an opportunity to explain and verbally report on your project, often to stakeholders who have an invested interest in the status of your project. This assessment gives you the opportunity to prepare and deliver a project presentation, and get valuable feedback from your Facilitator which you can apply in future project presentations.
Instructions:
Students should use the brief to guide what to include in the assessment and the rubric to inform the standard required.
In this assessment you are required to produce a video, up to 7.5-minute long to accompany the written submission in Assessment Brief 2A. The video should take the form of a presentation of your project outcome to a relevant stakeholder audience. You need to clearly state who the stakeholder audience is at the start of the video recording prior to starting the presentation.
The video presentation should not just repeat what is in the written submission, but should be complementary to it, so that the two elements together form one complete and persuasive submission.
The presentation should be very clear in what it is trying to convince the stakeholder group to do as a result of watching the presentation (ie how you want the issue or problem resolved), and present evidence to support why this solution is preferable. You should select media to include according to their appropriateness to the audience (eg cartoon format, prezi, excerpts of interviews, etc). You can also refer to the written submission in 2A to link your presentation to additional evidence and supporting documentation.
