Task 2: Short Questions and Answers
These are short answer questions and since you will be using screenshots, there is no specific word limit but as a good practice, try not to exceed 500 words per question 1. In section 3, you developed a forecast for Ridge Front Standard and Ridge Front Commuter bikes by entering the consumption data for each time period.
a. Do you think the consumption value will be always entered manually? If no, which activity will trigger an update on this value?
b. If you are entering manually and if you make an error, how will you rectify?
c. What is the difference between unplanned and planned consumption values? How will this affect forecasting?
2. In the forecasting view (T-Code - MMO3), you have lot of options for control data.
a. What is the significance of these options and explain its purpose?
3. In this exercise, you created a purchase order TRTR2000-###. Assume that the supplier didn't deliver the entire quantity you requested and only delivered half the quantity. Supplier assured that the rest will be delivered next month. You have decided the buy the remaining from another supplier who is ready to deliver next day.
a. What change will you make in SAP to reflect this change?
b. Supplier has sent erroneously sent the invoice for the entire quantity - How will you make the correct payment?
4. You have appointed as a lean consultant and you been tasked to improve the efficiency of operations. Rightfully, you map the process and identified redundant activities in various storage, transport, production and made changes to the current process. What will you do to reflect these changes in SAP?
5. Sales and Operations Planning is the starting point of production planning. Having used SAP ERP, discuss how SAP ERP embeds flexibility in sales and operations planning.
You need to use relevant screen shots from SAP to support your response and can also use trade publications to support your answer.
Task 3 - SAP Reflective Report (1000 Words)
A core feature of Enterprise Systems are they are customisable, comes with best practices and integrates various business processes and can talk diverse software products. Evaluate this statement about your usage of SAP and the extent you agree to this.
