Assignment Description

For this assignment you are asked to complete a literature review on the topic of your group project. The assignment requires you to locate at least 5 educational journal articles on the topic, and write a 1-2 page literature review on the articles you have selected.

You may find the following steps useful when writing your literature review:

1. Formulate Inquiry Questions

Use your research topic to formulate inquiry questions that specifically describe what you would like to know about your topic. For example:

Topic: Corporate Sustainability & Performance Inquiry Questions:
o What factors contribute to corporate sustainability?
o What are some obstacles to achieving corporate sustainability?
o In what ways does corporate sustainably impact firm performance?
2. Locate Journal Articles

Use the online library databases to search for and locate journals that include your topic's information. You need to find articles, read the abstracts and skim the articles to determine if they correspond well to your topic AND inquiry questions.

3. Select Articles

Select at least 5 journal articles and save them for your review and reference.

4. Review Articles

Read your articles and begin to sort and classify them according to their findings. At this stage, you should be able to organize your articles by sorting and classifying their findings in a meaningful way, always considering your original topic and inquiry question.

5. Write Review

Write an outline for your literature review, and revise to match the objectives of your research.
