Assessment - Interview a Manager
Task 1: Work with a group (4 to 5) to interview a manager asking him at least 10-15 questions then write a report based on your learning experience. Please reference all your work using APA style.
Task 2: Oral Presentation
Create a multimedia presentation display, to explain and discuss your project findings.
- Form groups 4 to 5 students and brainstorm who you will interview
- Choose a project leader for your group
- Assign responsibilities to each team member and create a project timeline. Share this document with your group member.
- Develop a list of 10 - 15 questions(See question bank or you can create on your own).
- Conduct a detailed interview (face-to-face,or electronic medium) with the manager of company of your choice.
- Ask the manager to complete the interviewee assessment form
- Write a report and then create a presentation

• Explain the functions, roles, skills of the manager.

• Explain the Leadership style of the chosen manager at the chosen organization
Organization culture:
• Organization culture at the manager's place of work
• Type of culture at the manager's work place (strong vs weak)
• Any particular issue he/she faces in organization culture
Group Development:
• Different types of groups in the organization
• How teams are used in decision making process
Group Communication:
• This score is based on the students' group communication reflection.
• What were the strengths of your group communication?
• Identify group communication weaknesses
• Identify group communication threats
• What group opportunities did you make use of?
Interviewee Assessment
• This score is based on the interviewee ratings ( Please make sure you get this filled by the manager)
Conclusion:

• What are some of the current business challenges faced by the manager and how does he/she solve it?
