You work as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for a popular Insurance company in your country. The Board of Directors of your organisation believes that, to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of the organisation, they should computerise all their systems in all departments. However, some board members fear that this might be a risky decision whilst others are not fully knowledgeable about the type of business environment they evolve in. They have therefore requested you, as CEO, to submit a report to them regarding the following:
a) Explain to the board the difference between a ‘calm waters'and a‘white-water rapids' environment.
b) Explain the main areas of change that the organisation would face if the business is computerised. Give special attention to the employees.
c) Assess any reason(s) why the staff would not want this change to be implemented and how you could reduce their resistance to change.
d) As the CEO of the organisation, briefly describe how you would lead change in the business.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Write a report of 2000 WORDS to the board of directors based on the above request.
2. Your report should be clear, precise and understandable by all.
