Standard: Personnel is considered trained if they have acquired the necessary skills to formulate, manufacture, and prescribe safe drugs ethically. Thorough evaluation must be carried out to ascertain that the individuals are qualified given this is a very sensitive field.

2. Pharmacy activity: Endorsement of absence

Standard: The employee should have a letter beforehand that indicates the reason for absence,  the date of absence, and date of returning to work (if necessary). The reason should be valid such as health illness, urgent appointments, and other unexpected emergencies.

3. Pharmacy activity: Knowledge on drugs

Standard: The employee should know what prescription drugs and OTC drugs are, the batch number of these drugs, and expiration dates. Drugs should be labelled appropriately to avoid confusion and establish safety and efficiency.

4. Pharmacy activity: Purchasing products in response to COVID-19

Standard: All products should be sanitized before being purchased with the personnel ensuring they wear masks and maintain social distancing.

Standard: The pharmacist in-charge should report it to the doctor and FDA, he/she should not fill the said prescription, and explain to the patient and the prescriber the required modification of the violative or impossible prescription presented.
