A surface charge distribution ρS=2nC/square meter exists on the body of an infinite cylinder of radius 4 m; the z axis is the axis of this cylinder. Enclosed by this surface charge distribution is a volumetric charge density ρV=(r^2 + r - 2) nC/cubic meter which exists for 1<r<2 where r is the cylindrical coordinate in meters. We will attempt to decide the fields produced by these sources using Gauss’ Law.

1) Utilize Gauss’ Law to find the electric field for 2<r<4 m

2) Use Gauss’ Law to find the electric field for 4 >r m.
