A metal disk of uniform density of mass M and radius R has a small hole drilled in it at a distance x from the center.  The hole is used to suspend the disk on a peg. The disk is then pushed so that it oscillated as a pendulum concerning the axis of the peg.

1. What is the period as a function of x?

2. For which value of x is the period the shortest?
